Events & Volunteer opportunities

Would you like to show support for our military but you’re not sure what to do? Do you have some free time and want to be patriotic? We can show you how!

Showing support for our military families can be as easy as having a bake sale, a plant sale or a lemonade stand. Organize a golf scramble or a poker run, fun run, foam run or color run. Invite your church, local boy and girl scouts, neighborhood block organization or whatever you have in your community.

You might be surprised at how many are eager to join your team. When a community takes ownership of their local military families, National Guard and Reserve units, things happen to strengthen community ties and improve lives for the entire area.

Everyone can be a part of these projects. Cub Scouts can pull weeds and rake leaves to improve curb appeal for a family whose dad is deployed, leaving a double burden on the mom left with the kids at home. Home bound folks can knit lap blankets for amputees in wheelchairs going through therapy in our military hospitals around the country.

Larger organizations might want to organize and enjoy a wine and cheese-tasting Art Auction or the ever-popular “Wild Wild West Hoedown & Casino Night!” Adopt a platoon. Send cards. Do something, do anything.

It all makes a difference and together we can accomplish so much more! You can start by contacting your own local companies and organizations to tell them that Boots Across America would like to help you organize a fundraiser for your area. It’s easy to start supporting our military families.

All you have to do is raise your hand and say “YES, I WANT TO HELP!”
